At that time I was fishing with an inexpensive St. Croix fly rod.

I took notice of the fly rods that were being used by the expert fly fisherman. By far, the most often used rod were Sage Fly Rods.

After that trip I decided it was time for me to invest in a "real" fly rod. I spent more money on a fly rod that I thought that I would ever spend on any fishing equipment. That investment in my Sage Fly Rod was the best fly fishing investment of my life.

My Sage Graphite II 590 DS fly rod made me a better fisherman and I will always be a fan of Sage Fly Rods.
